Confession: I am a skincare nerd.
Ever since I was just a wee young thang, people have commented on my skin. I’m not kidding, even strangers in the grocery store would ask me what I was using to maintain my gorgeous skin.
The truth? I was using a steady routine of neglect and crappy ingredients. #lucky
Cut to my mid-thirites when all of those years of neglect were introduced to a plethora of stress, and suddenly people in the grocery store were eyeing my skin for a very different reason.
I had redness, yes. But I also had bumps, pimples, blisters – you name it, I had it. And it was painful.
I knew the energetic causes and got to work on those. But in the meantime, I needed my skin to forgive me and I wasn’t sure where to start.
Then I found Summer, facialist extraordinare and founder of Skin Frequency.
To have skin like that, and show up, bare-skinned in front of a stunning skincare guru, is frankly, intimidating. But Summer welcomed me with a compassionate, non-judgemental, soothing embrace and I swear her hands healed my skin as much as the gorgeous products she was using.
Since then, she’s gone on to create her own skincare line, and it is capital G Gorgeous. The idea behind it is so beautiful, but also so obvious coming from her. She’s somehow infused that gentle tenderness that she applied to my skin back then, into oils that you can take home for yourself.
My skin has been completely transformed using these products.
